Magpie 84, Numerology 3. Faith, Hope and... whatever happened to Charity?
Why did you cause the rain to fall?
Right now? Dear God, do you recall?
We prayed to thee,
Magpie and me;
“A full moon for the Willow Ball!?”

An afterthought:
(In the bilge of my steel yacht, while scraping away at corrosion)
“In God we rust”.

Giggle...in light of my adoration of patina, I adore "In God we rust"...stay tuned for the Willow Manor Ball coming up in October...
ReplyDeleteStafford,
ReplyDeleteIn God we trust, that we must! Is it too much to ask?

ReplyDeleteI always like funny.
ReplyDeleteYou're funny.
This was my favourite picture of all the paintings posted so far!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your take on it - is it a Halloween Ball?
Jane, the Willow Ball is whatever you want it to be. You see, it is totally imaginary, It can be Halloween ball, a meat ball or a screw ball... (um, perhaps I should rephrase that) but is as real as so many other allusions and delusions in this Human life.
ReplyDeleteLove your creativity - as always. Wonder if the Willow Ball will be a 'masked ball?' Get your costume ready just in case!
ReplyDeleteThe first part charming ... the second made me chuckle out loud.
ReplyDeleteHope Magpie has a snorkel, and that the rain is warm.
ReplyDeleteHere's to rusting!
rust is rather beautiful...and a timely color being fall...lol. perhaps the moon will yet be full....
ReplyDeleteyou always make me chuckle and grin! and THAT aint a sin!
