Snow can be lovely, the subject of art
And too much at once, a matter apart.
But why, in God’s name
Would anyone sane,
Gather it up to put in their cart?

There’s no rhyme or reason to it, unless you wanted to transport it to your ice house?
In areas where they get large amounts of snow, they often haul the the first away so they wont' have to deal with such large piles later. Even couple of feet of snow can make a large pile and I have been in areas where they got twelve or fifteen feet (4-5 meters) in a single winter. only by getting the first few snow far enough away could they provide a place to shovel the later ones.ReplyDelete
Thanks Donald, I guess that applies to most of the US right now!Delete
Like the humor, warm feelings in your winter poem.ReplyDelete
For such a cold photo....you created such a light-hearted, warm post. Great job :-)ReplyDelete
It is the abominable snow cart, and its probably going up their nose !ReplyDelete
No accounting for some peoples actionsReplyDelete
I've heard snow collecting can be a passion....
So fun to have you back Stafford!
It is still a beautiful painting ;) Hope you are nowhere near North Qld Stafford - in that boat of yours!ReplyDelete
South coat NSW, (Boat is for sale cheap to good home). Too busy with music and writing to sail any more. It was good while it lasted!Delete
Nice one, Stafford :)ReplyDelete
A clever twist and really quite funny. It’s what lays beneath that snow on the cart that worries me.ReplyDelete
Maybe there are plans for a mobile snowman....!?ReplyDelete
