Insanity

To live where weather's wild and raw
You must be mad, or really poor.
But if there you must reside
You'd better take your bike inside,
And quickly shut the bloody door!?

Thanks Tess, nice to find you are still here after my sabbatical. And thanks for another wonderful prompt.

  1. I love this, Stafford. In fact, I shared it on Facebook which is a rare action for me. I hope it goes viral but, sadly, I don't think anyone follows me on Facebook!

  2. I shared it on Facebook, too. To quote Arlo Guthrie, "what we got here is a revolution!"

  4. My sentiments exactly. I grew up in blizzard country. And I'm never tempted to visit there again in winter. A few times I've had to go then (e.g. when one or other of my parents was sick). But my consolation when they had both died: At least I never have to deal with a northern winter again! It may look very charming in pictures. But try falling through thin ice into an icy pond. Or driving 50 miles through a Maine forest with a baby in the car and a broken car heater. My body was designed for Queensland weather, I've decided. Anything else leaves me cold.....literally!

  5. Batten down the hatches! I've experienced extremes, still looking for that perfect locale ... which may or may not exist!

Gday Staff , happy new year , great to see you materialising crom the electronic aethers to once again assume discernible form, like Ursula Andress emerging from the sea in DR No .....by the way i dont think your link to magpies worked , unless the operation was successful and you now call yourself "Bekkie" or "Letitia"
