Election Sept. 2013

Are we Aussies about to elect a Climate Change Denier to the top job, so he can give his Mining Magnate Mates free reign to pollute?

And, by the way, did anyone notice that CO2 just went through the 400 PPM barrier?

  2. I wouldn't trust anyone who continues to insist the election is about trust ... 'trust me' are two of the most misused words in our language. And yes, the news about CO2 breaking the barrier was huge here in the US (at least among the folks I know.)

** Nice to see you are alive.

    1. Thanks Woonie. I did not see a mention in any local media. A friend rang to tell me. XX

  3. Stafford - it is absolutely chilling how our supposed leaders are taking us down a path of anillation and destruction- here in the USA we now have this imbecilic inept leader taking us to war in Syria? WTF? I thought he said we would get out of the Middel East- but here he goes rattling sabers and creating horrible unrest and hatred. Is anyone paying attention? Anyone with the power to stop this madness?
I protested the Vietnam War-I have been appalled at what has happened in the Middle East and elsewhere since 9-11 and here we go again.
It's totally insane. This beautiful planet is in the hands of evil doers as far as I am concerned.
Rant rant....and as Helen says we're happy to hear from you! Hope all with your life is good-
great to read your blog! xoxo

    1. The Middle East is an ongoing tragedy as Sunni and Shia tribes battle for control of the treasuries. It has nothing to do with Allah and all to do with greed.
We would like to see them join our world of commerce and the free market and of course embrace our brand of democracy. But that will not happen so you are right about staying out of it. I worry for the poor Afghans! But human rights cannot be imposed, so they will need to work out how to change their society from within.
All we can do is to educate our refugees here so they leave their violence back where they came from.
Life is better than I could have hoped!
      xx

  7. I did notice ;) It's all very depressing, so I have stopped watching the news - there is little doubt that the Rabbit will be our new PM and that means I may as well sell the tv! I'm just hoping my cousin retains her seat of Chisholm.

  10. I sincerely hope we don't. That would be too much to cope with. Think I'll go and live in a cave if it happens....
