Cycles Serious.
When it is all said and done
The Tour de France always was won
By great muscle tone
And testosterone.
And this year, Cadel was the one!

ReplyDeletewell done.
well, what else can you say.
ReplyDeleteNice play on the title and, of course, it's got to be the tour.
Wonderful play on words... always the Tour to see the best of the best.
ReplyDeleteGood one, Stafford, and funny, too, especially

And testosterone" !!

Right, some really serious cycling. I'm sure the intense athlete couldn't be distracted by that other contestant; what with his dark glasses and all...
ReplyDeleteYay for Cadel!

Congratulations to you and all your Oz mates. Grand for you all to now have, in that sport, a first FIRST !!
ReplyDeleteIn the sport baseball, the San Francisco Giants are the team I follow. You know, they won the World Series in 2010 -- the first since the 1950's. Also very grand
..
I loved the picture this week and am enjoying the responses - every year in London they have a massive Naked Cycle Ride, lots of testosterone but no speed records being broken.
ReplyDeleteIt is a manly sport then! Beautiful limerick!
ReplyDeleteFine , but don't forget the green!
ReplyDeleteYou knew just where to go! Wish I had thought of that!
ReplyDeleteMmm... testosterone.
ReplyDeleteDave King... Mark Cavendish, worthy winner of the green might take the yellow next year!
ReplyDeleteBrawn, Bikes and Testosterone! Well captured.
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteah yes naked biking - now THAT would be a tour de peau!!
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, I used to own an Italian racing bike ... flew like the wind. Love your poem, Stafford.
ReplyDelete'Surely you can't be serious! I am, and don't call me Shirley' - hahaha (Flying High - the movie, not me).
ReplyDeleteI lapped that one up!...Cadel could put a stick in my spokes any day!!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Sharp and witty.
