House of Love.

Remember this room,
when kindling snapped
and hissed in the grate?

Remember the girl
that was you,
so eager to please?

Remember the man
who stacked the wood,
then sat by you?

Remember the child
mewing, crawling,
trusting, so loved?

It all looked smaller then,
filled with love and warmth,
and my Harley Davidson.

PS. Thought it was about time to update the Photo.

  2. It can be such a wonderful feeling to go back the long winding road of what had been. Something we would not want to trade for anything else including the joys of the Harley!

  7. That's the trouble with Harleys - they fill a room.

    1. Actually Donald, I thought it was very shallow and silly, but I see there is hope for me yet!

  15. I used to ride on my hubby's Yamaha when we were dating from midnight to morning - oh, we were so young (he was SO young) and poor - and it felt like a Harley!

  16. Ah yes . . . the Harley! Where is it now? Great read, which is "tongue in cheek" rather than "shallow and silly", surely.? (Try saying shallow and silly, surely after 3 or 4 pints.)
