Magpie in a purple treehouse Haiku
To you I was a subject
To me you were a shadow
I wanted more
For Magpie Tales and The Purple Tree House Haiku Challenge.
And to my Christian friends, I send a wish for a Happy Christmas, to my Muslims friends, seasons greetings and to the Atheists, a year of human cooperation.

ReplyDeleteLovely Haiku....this morning I looked to see if you had posted lately and ahah
ReplyDeleteI said "So there you are!"
and I am going to use your greeting for Atheists- "A year of co-operation" for everyone;Christians, Muslims,Jews,HIndus,Buddhists etc- we all need to get along.
So here's a toast to a better year-a year of co-operation!
When I was a little girl living in Sandy Bay, Hobart, Tasmania, Mrs Ruth Bowling was our landlord. She was the sweetest, most adventurous woman I knew, living by the code, all in good time.
ReplyDeleteMuslims, Christians, Buddhists lived together - students all and we celebrated all festivals.
Christmas was special to me-until today.
And Mrs Bowling was the epitome of an embracing woman- a lovable atheist for sure.
Merry Christmas Stafford. And thank you for reminding me how I loved Mrs Bowling.
Good writing!
ReplyDeleteGreetings:
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays.
