Dysfunctional.

An organised kitchen it’s not…
A cat on the stove that’s not hot.
A pissoire at hand
with nowhere to stand
and a tank with a tap at the top!

And that is just for starters!

The draughtsmanship is wonderful and the narrative intriguing. But to me, this kitchen is the Hell.
I don’t know how Tess manages to finds these, but they really are a challenge. Click on Magpie Tales to see what others had to say.

  5. Great stuff as usual, Stafford. But . . "pissoire" should be "pissoir" To add an "E" makes the fixture feminine - causing all sorts of difficulties.

  7. One gets overwhelmed by the clutter. It's cramped and one gets claustrophobic in effect. Wonderful limerick Stafford!

  9. You've certainly taken the 'piss'oire from the prompt and used it fittingly!

    1. I once read that in the whole of the Sydney CBD, until after WW2, there was only one public Ladies' Loo! I guess Ladies just did not pee.
But you, being a real woman and inventive at that, was not stopped by lack of specifically female facilities and improvised!

    1. I reckon she stuffed it with 'lingo'. Not a dinky-di Aussie word. And while we are here, how unlucky for us that maps were invented in the N Hemisphere and North is shown as up.
But they are only maps. To us, who are clearly standing on the top of the world, the poor unfortunate Yanks are 'down under'.

  11. As I said in my comment on Magpie Tales, it would make a good jigsaw - for many reasons. The best thing is to make light of it and I do like the way you did that.

    2. Thanks Ninot. I have had to block all mail with 'anonymous' in the address line. I was being overloaded with advertising disguised as comments. Annoying and perhaps dangerous!
