Working as a vegetable.

This is a picture of me arriving for work. .

My boss might appear like a fool,
To pay me to swim in his pool.
But he makes a motza
By bottl-ing lotza
Pool water, he markets as Gruel!

Go take a look in Tess's veggie garden for real poetry.
PS. Been out of range all week, almost missed my 101th consecutive magpie!

  1. Some enterprising chaps sell 'bottled drinking water' here. This is actually bottled tap water as opposed to bottled mineral or spring water. In the case of pool water, I took unintended gulps of water while swimming before. I suppose the chlorine did its job to make the water ok - if not for an overdose of pungent smell and taste. Nice Limerick Stafford!

    1. Yes, Hank, Our bottled water costs double the price of petrol! However, I cheat by filling empty bottles from MY tap for nothing... well, one cent's worth of water fills about a hundred bottles, and in the time it takes to line up at the cash register, I can fill ten.
However, I once stayed in a motel in LA where the tap water was undrinkable, so I was obliged to buy bottled water.
However II, if I walked down the road a few metres, I could buy an excellent coffee PLUS a glass of water for the price of one small bottled water!

  4. This visual image is troubling me. And yet somewhat nostalgic. Does anyone remember those Fruit The Loom advertisements of the 80s?

    1. I agree the image is troubling, I would never hang such art where I could see it. And I could imagine how it would terrify the children. Haha! Where were the ads shown? Tasmania?

  10. Today, I went to the beachfront with my children.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.

She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but
    I had to tell someone!
