Marc my words Chagall!

Roof and roofs
a brace of quail,
a hoof and hooves
a snail and snails.

A gaggle of geese
a herd of deer
always keep
your spell check near.

  2. As I enlarged (or as Tess says embiggened) the image, the details were mind-boggling! I see you caught them ....

    1. You are too kind. I saw very little of it. But when I was a child, my parents called the top part of houses 'rooves', so that kicked off the silly.

    2. Oh, there were numerous drawings, tiny sketches, animals, people and on and on! You must read the most recent Snowbrush post!

  3. I enjoyed the title of your poem as well as the rhymes. Plurals can be difficult to determine, it's true. Thank you for sharing this lighthearted look at Chagall, Ray. =D

  4. Hilarious Stafford! A Spell check is more frequently used though a dictionary at hand is also useful! Great!

    1. So you are still in your 'blue' phase!
But I guess there was little choice. Nobody says 'out of the cobalt', but I guess 'out of the duck egg' could make it to the vernacular!

    1. I don't know about that. I have heard certain Cockneys talking about 'horse's hoofs', with the 'oo' as made with lips in the pecking position, but I have no idea what they mean. :-)

  10. This is funny. Plural forms can be confusing. We have "mouse" pl "mice", except on our computers, which have "mouses" - or so I'm told.
And then there are those "rooves" on our "hice" . . .

  11. Not just a spellchecker, a proofreader built in to the keyboard would be handy. The title is great, I'm always looking for snappy titles for my poems and posts (possibly trying too hard), and I love this one.

  17. The Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas' recent drastic reorganization of the national security is one sign to this effect. E-papers do not minimize from covering stories that received little coverage in the reputed national papers. Hindi Samachar is entertaining millions of people with incredible reports, events, information and gossips. Some say it would have, because there is an ongoing collaboration between the two groups in attacks on Israel. The contempt he held for America had little to do with politics and democracy.

  18. If you experience some emotional or physical problems in your life it can soon be seen in the condition
of your hair, using natural and organic products aids in the recovery of your hair.

This article will explain the hair product diversion conspiracy
and list ways that you can determine whether or
not the beloved salon brand you saw in Walgreens last week
was truly diverted merchandise or strategically placed by the powers
that be. Both brands are popular in known hair salons and spas.

  19. Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is important and all. However think about
if you added some great photos or videos to give your posts more, "pop"!
Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this website could undeniably be one of
the very best in its field. Superb blog!

  20. Dont let the packaging fool you into buying something that may damage your
hair. It can also be left in the hair as a conditioner but it may be hard to explain
the tomatoes. It soothes scalp region and make hair dark and lustrous.
However, this solution is chemical free and some people find natural products
more appealing. The herbal solution is said to be a natural one, but, this does not necessarily
indicate that it is more effective than other available procedures.
