Discombobulation;
Confusion of the nation,
Retail computation;
Food-miles consternation.
Traded our simplicity
For triple wrapped duplicity,
In corporate multiplicity.
Lost our village, more’s the pity!
Thanks again

ReplyDeleteain't that the truth
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect title...'Progression Regression"...how I long for those simpler times and those fond memories...I remember we had a "Herbie the Helms man" who drove around in a truck with pull out drawers with fresh pastries....OH HOW I LOVED THE AROMA FROM THOSE DRAWERS and the sweet taste of the pastries...YUM. Herbie always had a smile...
ReplyDeleteSpot on witty observation. :-)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely . . but so well said . . . . :)
ReplyDelete~ Eddie :)
If only there were more shops like this one still around. Mind you, my county town is richer in them than many others.
ReplyDeleteWe are very lucky.
