Sensible shoes.

Dear Edward, my love, you’re an idiot.
I'm amazed you could even consider it.
I’ve set you aglow
In these boots, but you know,
By time they’re unlaced you’ll be over it!

A likely story, you say. Well, for the real thing, go to Magpie Tales where poets and storytellers gather every Monday, west of the IDL and Sunday in the east.

  2. These boots are meant for walking, yes they do. Nice limerick Stafford!

  3. Why bother unlacing ? Nicely done and made me smile.

  4. Rumor has it the laces are fake ... those boots snap all the way up ... and down. I like the notion of folks living 'east of the sun and west of the moon!' Now isn't that romantic? That International Date Line seems so clinical.

  5. I was wondering about how long it would take to do up the laces - didn't even consider how long it would take to UNdo them :)

  9. Helen has the right idea- either snaps or velcro! And really- they are up in the mountains with no one around-they have a lot of time available!! Anticipation you know!

  10. Hahaha - I think they could be taken off in such a way as to increase, 'it' not the opposite.
