My cat purrs and gently preens
Twitches whiskers, so serene.
‘Til I tried
To wash her hide…
Tore my shirt to smithereens!

    ha. sounds a bit like my cat...he has gotten one bath...right after we got him as a kit...to kill all the ticks and fleas...and he about shredded my arms...

    My kids used to float Kasper the cat in a tub in our swimming pool ~~ definitely not the smartest move!
