Some enterprising chaps sell 'bottled drinking water' here. This is actually bottled tap water as opposed to bottled mineral or spring water. In the case of pool water, I took unintended gulps of water while swimming before. I suppose the chlorine did its job to make the water ok - if not for an overdose of pungent smell and taste. Nice Limerick Stafford!

Yes, Hank, Our bottled water costs double the price of petrol! However, I cheat by filling empty bottles from MY tap for nothing... well, one cent's worth of water fills about a hundred bottles, and in the time it takes to line up at the cash register, I can fill ten.
DeleteHowever, I once stayed in a motel in LA where the tap water was undrinkable, so I was obliged to buy bottled water.
However II, if I walked down the road a few metres, I could buy an excellent coffee PLUS a glass of water for the price of one small bottled water!
