Beware of Genies bearing gifts.
A genie once told me; “I’ve come from afar
To give you a room, with good light and a spa.”
“Oh goodie! My wish has been granted!” I cried,
“Will I need a latch key, to get me inside?”
“No need,” he replied, driving off in my car.
“When you find your room, you will see it’s ajar!”
More bottled magpies
here.
Magic! Well, it would be using a genie - Very clever wordplay and a witty rhyme. That picture prompt was asking for a bit of humour.
ReplyDeletehahaha... thanks for that
ReplyDeleteThough your glass room door may be ajar
ReplyDeleteAnd no doubt handsome genie is clever
That car you slaved so hard to acquire
Has gone to the land of the never never
(though if you sip through your straw, you won't mind - really)
I enjoyed this :)
ReplyDeleteclothing optional?
ReplyDeleteDo you wear clothes in a spa? Does anyone?
DeleteIs that you in that enormous jar, and is that piss you're sitting in? No, too white--must be gin or vodka because surely't it's not water.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you know what it is like to expose your nether end to alcohol but I doubt it. Vodka stings my mouth. What it would do to organs further south, I will not be testing! :-)
DeleteExcellent!
ReplyDeleteClever idea, well worked out in your chuckle-making poem.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff, Stafford. Really enjoyed this one.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed this one Stafford - all I could think of was some poor bloke in a fertility clinic, reading porn with a jar ... no I didn't join in this week!
ReplyDeleteNow Jane ... your interpretation would have made for quite the Mag!!
DeleteI too am disappointed that such a fertile idea failed to produce a zygote!
DeleteI look forward to the giggles...thanks for making me smile today...
ReplyDeleteYAY! I was hoping your Mag would appear soon! As always, this has the perfect Staffy kick to it!
ReplyDelete*big smiles
Thanks Helena, for the last few weeks I have been separated from my modem when the Magpie flew, so responses have been late.
DeleteI promise to mend my forgetful ways.
You're looking good in that jar Staffo - bwhahahaha ;) Funny poem (and comments, esp jane.healy)
ReplyDeleteMe with that body in the jar!!! I wish!
Delete"Maybe you know what it is like to expose your nether end to alcohol but I doubt it."
ReplyDeleteAs the world's preeminent authority on the matter, I must inform you that you are wrong.
You are right Snow, I have never tried it. AND I will take your word for it. Apart from any other reason not to try, I am pretty sure I would rather drink it!
ReplyDeleteAlways be careful when hammering out deals with the little Sidhe, Staff'
ReplyDeleteExcellent clever stuff Stafford, just excellent!
ReplyDeleteAnna :o]
a fun poem! hope it wasn't true!!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly made my funny bone tickle
ReplyDeleteWith your poem about being in such a pickle!
Hilarious Stafford! A nasty genie getting a bit cheeky.
ReplyDeleteHank
