Magpie joins snake week!

Music in the pit.

A suff’rer of herpetophilia
Kept all sorts of dang’rous reptilia.
For them she would play
On her fife ev’ry day.
Have you ever heard anything sillier!?

This stupidity was prompted by Tess Kincaid at Willow Manor.

  3. Stafford, a clever way of depicting life's irony. People do the unexpected unwittingly but we can well see it coming.

  6. We all ran for the dictionary
on this one, sir, and of course
you led us down a strange and
    randy sexual path, laced with
    levity and Ray sarcasm; which
we all crave, and can't seem to
    get enough of.

  8. Brilliant stuff. Just reading the first line made me giggle and I knew, just knew the rest would be brilliant.

  13. Okay, so I had to look at yours and FTSE's side-by-each to see whether I'd recommend calling it a draw.
Pretty tough to beat your "herpetophilia" but his rhyming "do so" with Rousseau is also very nice.
I'm glad it isn't up to me to judge.

  18. Ogden Nash would be proud! A wonderful little verse! Wasn't it Nash who wrote these memorable words:

I eat my peas with honey.
I've done it all my life.
It makes them taste quite funny,
but it keeps them on my knife.

    Have a smilingly lovely day!

  19. The first thing come to mind was Herpetic Whitlow and at the moment I am not even sure if I have spelt it correctly. However, as I am now into the silliness proposed here ... it really doesn't matter.

I love to come across silliness ... it lighten-brightens my day. And oh yes! War is the greatest evil on earth.
