Living in the view
From the mountain top
I feast on blues
of sea and sky
From the plain
my heart is lifted
by the sight of hills
So I come down
to wet my toes
and feel the cool
Then return to where
crisp mountain air
is warmed by fire.

Yep. Loike it.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really great title - has a philosophical tone (not sure if you meant it that way). This poem is serene and lovely - good one Stafford.

So much to appreciate, all around us. You capture that, so well.
ReplyDeleteWonderful piece. I wander through the the scene you have drawn with your words what a beautiful creation!
ReplyDeleteI am always so lazy. I think the mountains look so beautiful from where I am - I see no point in climbing all the way up just to look at where I am now.
ReplyDeletePerhaps I should. Once in some long while.
Lovely. I can see the colours and smell the fresh air. Very nice.
